Independents, Online, Food and Drink, Fashion, Galleries, Home and Houseware, Antiques, Plants and Gardens, Art and Crafts, Gifts

Snape Maltings sits on the bank of the River Alde, surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just five miles from Aldeburgh.

This beautiful heritage site, with its converted Victorian buildings, is home to independent shops and galleries, wonderful places to eat, and several performance venues – including the world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. It is also one of two historic visitor destinations cared for by the pioneering music, arts and heritage charity, Britten Pears Arts.

You can shop to your heart's content within the retail complex at Snape Maltings, with hand-picked homeware, beauty products, food and drink, and much more on offer. The bright and spacious House & Garden store is filled with a lovingly-curated range of furniture, textiles and accessories, as well as gifts, clothing, and traditional children's toys.

The Food Hall is the perfect showcase for the very best of Suffolk's food and drink producers, and our Samphire boutique is home to our collection of women’s clothing. Each brand has been carefully selected for their style, as well as their ethics and eco-credentials. The Maltings Gallery, located in the Granary building, welcomes new and local creative talents as well as nationally collected artists.

The Shed contains all the essentials you didn’t know you needed for your boot room and garden, as well as accessories for your much-loved pets. The Craft Shop offers handmade collections from around the UK, as well as Fairtrade products from artisan makers slightly further afield.

You’ll also find Earsham Street Deli, Asteria Wellbeing, The Early Music Shop and Snape Antiques Centre on site at Snape Maltings.

The world renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall and beautiful selection of holiday cottages on site, make for a wonderful base from which to enjoy a rich repertoire of music, arts and culture as well as to explore the surrounding Suffolk countryside and coast.
