Three Artists have teamed up to create a new exhibition that celebrates their friendship, shared love of the sea and nature. ‘Light and Flight’ at the The Aldeburgh Gallery.
This Exhibition brings together the work of three artists, Nel Whatmore, Rebecca de Mendonça and Polly Rose Morris. Nel and Rebecca met at art college over 40 years ago and both work predominantly in pastels, Polly Rose is a printmaker and sculptor and also Nel’s daughter.
They all love and appreciate the drama and cathartic power of being in the outdoors, be it sitting on a beach and watching hypnotic waves roll in, to swirling clouds and swooping birds. They have supported each other through adversity and come together here for the first time to exhibit, and to celebrate the beauty of the natural world.
