Young Ranger Day at National Trust Orford Ness

Aged 5-12? Want to get up close to the nature that calls Orford Ness home? Then come along to a Young Ranger event and learn how National Trust Rangers care for this amazing place.

Help monitor the moths that live on Orford Ness, count and check the flock of rare breed sheep with the National Trust sheep dog. Sweep and learn how Rangers manage the landscape to make it such an important site for wading and migrating birds.

Dissect owl pellets to help discover what small mammals live on site and carry out wildlife camera checks to see what the wildlife is up to when people aren't around.

For children aged 5-12 years.

Please note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must book a ticket for the ferry crossing.
