This autumn, gather your friends, family and even the youngsters and spend a cosy night at the theatre. Whether you enjoy thoughtful plays, music and storytelling or comedy to get you giggling, there’s plenty to choose from. So book your tickets, mark the dates on the calendar and look forward to the autumn theatre offerings on the Suffolk Coast. 


Snape Maltings

In October and November at Snape Maltings and The Red House, the performance calendar is rich and varied, showcasing everything from family-friendly screenings and community workshops to major choral and classical concerts.

Highlights include Wallace & Gromit: A Grand Day Out and The Wrong Trousers, both with live brass accompaniment from The Fairey Band, which offer fun double features on Saturday 18 October. There are also free events like Open Session: At the Heart of it All for young and old in Jerwood Kiln Studio on 25 October, and Spooky Sounds at The Red House, which combine music, storytelling and interactive experiences on 31 October and 1 November.

As autumn deepens, November brings more focused concerts such as Woodbridge Choral Society: The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace on 1 November, English Chamber Orchestra & Raphael Wallfisch on 8 November and Handel’s Messiah on 29 November.


The Cut Arts Centre

The Cut

National Theatre Live screenings bring world-class drama to The Cut Arts Centre in Halesworth this autumn. Inter Alia on 25 September is an arresting new piece from Alexander Zeldin, capturing raw and intimate moments of human connection. The production features the captivating Rosamund Pike as Jessica Parks, Jamie Glover as Michael Wheatley, and Jasper Talbot as Harry Wheatley.

On 16 October, there's a spine-chilling evening in store with Even More… Ghost Stories by Candlelight. This immersive performance invites audiences into a world of contemporary ghost tales set against the flickering glow of candlelight.

Later in the season on 6 November, Mrs Warren’s Profession presents George Bernard Shaw’s searing critique of Victorian society, tackling themes of morality, independence, and hypocrisy with biting wit. This revival stars five-time Olivier Award winner Imelda Staunton as Mrs. Kitty Warren and her real-life daughter Bessie Carter as Vivie Warren, marking their first collaboration on stage.

This autumn, The Marina Theatre in Lowestoft promises a rich blend of entertainment, with something for everyone across October and November. 

Strictly Come Dancing comes to Suffolk at In Conversation with Anton Du Beke on 23 October, where the much-loved Strictly Come Dancing star shares stories and insights from his dazzling career. The following evening, 24 October, audiences can step back in time with Walk Right Back 2025, a moving and nostalgic tribute to The Everly Brothers.

Families are in for a treat on 28 October, when Science Museum Live! brings the wonder of experiments and spectacular demonstrations to the stage, with two interactive performances at 12:30pm and 4pm. Nostalgia continues on 29 October with the ever-popular variety show That’ll Be The Day, filled with music, comedy, and timeless hits.

In November, festive magic begins early with A Fairytale For Christmas on 9 November, an enchanting show that sets the tone for the season ahead. Then, on 20 November, Ben Portsmouth: This Is Elvis delivers the charisma and classic hits of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll. Finally, the theatre ushers in the holiday spirit on 22 November with Step into Christmas, a sparkling celebration of music and cheer that’s perfect for getting into the festive mood.

East Point Pavilion

East Point Pavilion

At East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft, October and November 2025 feature a diverse lineup of music events. The month kicks off on Sunday, 5 October, with Sails & Ales, a maritime-themed festival celebrating Lowestoft's rich heritage. The event includes live music from local artists such as Svetlah and the Lowestoft Longshoremen, alongside maritime talks and demonstrations. Later that evening, the Pavilion hosts a special concert featuring the John Ward Trio and The Rogue Shanty Buoys, offering a lively mix of folk and sea shanties. Then for Halloween, there's an evening of spine-chilling stories presented by Raconteur Theatre Company's Halloween in Horrors in store!

November brings the Folk at the Pavilion series, starting with Reg Meuross on Friday, 28 November. Meuross, an award-winning folk artist, will perform his 'Fire & Dust - A Woody Guthrie Story,' a musical journey through the life and songs of the legendary American folk musician. 


Eastern Angles


Home Fires is a new heritage play that shines a light on the resilience of Ipswich during the Second World War. On stage at Eastern Angles Theatre in Ipswich on 9 November, the play is set in the midst of blackout nights and air raid sirens, it tells the story of families who faced fear and hardship but found courage and solidarity in the darkest of times. Drawing on real accounts from local people, the production combines immersive staging with moving performances to honour the strength of a community under fire.


Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall

Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall

Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall offers a vibrant array of events this October and November, showcasing a blend of comedy, music, and literary arts. The season kicks off with the inaugural Aldeburgh Comedy Weekend from 17–19 October, featuring performances such as Rory Bremner – Making an Impression on 17 October, Showstopper! on 18 October and A Short Gentleman on 18 and 19 October.

Later in October, on 25 October, Eastern Angles presents Teechers, a sharp satire on school life. November brings the Poetry in Aldeburgh Festival from 6–9 November, with events like the Gala Reading on 8 November featuring poets Clare Pollard and Richard Scott. The month concludes with Jazz @ Jubilee on 16 November, offering an afternoon of swing, blues, and grooves by stars of the Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

This October and November, the Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe offers an exciting and diverse mix of live entertainment, ranging from high-energy tribute shows to comedy, theatre, and musical celebrations.

October kicks off with The Traveling Wilburys Experience on 3 October, bringing the beloved classics of the supergroup to life, followed by The Sound of Springsteen on 4 October, a high-octane tribute to the Boss’s iconic hits. Audiences can enjoy laughter and theatrical flair with Crissy Rock in Dirty Dusting on 10 October, while The Illegal Eagles on 11 October deliver an electrifying evening of The Eagles’ timeless music. The month continues with comedy and nostalgia: Jason Manford’s - A Manford All Seasons on 16 October and a disco celebration with Lost In Music – One Night at the DiscoFans of dance and entertainment can also enjoy an intimate evening In Conversation with Anton Du Beke on 22 October, followed by a musical journey through rock history with The History of Rock on 24 October, and a Beatles tribute, Twist & Shout, on 25 October.

In November, there's tribute nights to music icons abound, including Man in the Mirror – A Tribute to Michael Jackson on 6 November, The Celine Experience on 8 November, and ELO Again on 15 November, celebrating Electric Light Orchestra’s hits.

The month wraps up with festive cheer and soulful sounds, including A Christmas Comedy Club with Simon Brodkin on 29 November and a performance by the legendary Drifters on 30 November, promising something unforgettable for every taste.
