Easter is a fantastic time to visit The Suffolk Coast; if you're looking for something to do, then you're spoilt for choice; with Easter egg hunts, activities and events aplenty.
We've put together this handy 'Easter What's On Guide' for you to plan your weekend...
Easter Weekend at Snape Maltings
Friday 30th - Monday 2nd April 2018
Snape Maltings Easter Weekend is a jam-packed four days of dramatic musical masterpieces performed by some of the country’s finest musicians, alongside a host of family-friendly activities around the site, including a special Easter Farmers' Market and Easter Egg hunt.
Concerts include the Albion Quartet at Orford Church on Friday 30th March and Aldeburgh Voices at Orford Church and Snape Maltings on Saturday 31st March.
The famous farmers market will take place on Saturday 31st March and the Easter Egg Hunt from Friday 30th - Monday 2nd April. Pick up an Easter egg hunt map from the Visitor Centre or Little Rascals at Snape Maltings and find the clues with their colourful Easter eggs. Once you've found them all, head to Little Rascals where a small chocolate Easter egg and sticker will be waiting!
Easter Egg Hunt at Easton Farm Park
Friday 30th - Monday 2nd April
There's a fun day on the farm awaiting you at Easton Farm Park! Find the clues around the farm and solve the puzzle to receive a freshly laid chocolate egg. Whilst there, join in with the pony & cart rides, hug a bunny sessions, barrel bug rides, family train rides, pony rides, egg collecting and tractor rides and you can also meet the magnificent Suffolk Punch horses.
Easter Marathon Music Festival at The Tea Hut
Sunday 1st April 2018
If you fancy something other than hunting for eggs, then head to The Tea Hut in Woodbridge where you can catch 10 performers including, for the first time, 7 of Woodbridge’s finest DJ’s. There's a licenced bar and BBQ on offer too, the evening starts at 6pm and finishes at 11.30pm.
Friston Easter Art Exhibition
Saturday 31st March - Monday 2nd April
An opportunity to view and buy works of art from local artists, set in the beautiful historic Norman Church of Friston.
There will be over 60 pieces of art by some 20 artists of diverse styles and all genres - local landscapes, animals and birds, still life and contemporary in oils, watercolours, pastel, acrylic, ink and pencil.
Easter Events at The Red House
Saturday 31st March - Sunday 15th April
There's a range of family-friendly events on offer this Easter weekend at The Red House.
Inspired by Benjamin Britten’s operetta “Paul Bunyan” the events, which take place across the two week Easter holidays, include Animal Sound Hunt, storytelling and music and 'make your own giant's footprint' on Saturday 31st March; garden games and a garden trail from 31st March - 15th April. All activities are included within the admission charge, but under 16s are free!
Easter Egg Hunt at The Westleton Crown
Sunday 1st April
Head to the pretty village of Westleton and join in with the Easter activities including an egg hunt in the terraced garden - all of the activities are free of charge! Afterwards, head to the restaurant and enjoy a delicious 2 or 3 course Easter Sunday lunch.
Easter Egg Hunt at Ivy House Country Hotel
Sunday 1st April
The whole family can enjoy crafts and an Easter egg hunt in the stunning hotel gardens on Easter Sunday. After you've picked up your Easter treat, listen to live music from Slick Division between 3pm and 6pm and tuck into a delicious meal in the restaurant.
Easter Sunday Egg Hunt and Family Lunch at The White Lion, Aldeburgh

Head to the beach at Aldeburgh and to The White Lion for family Easter fun starting at 11.30am with a family Easter egg hunt. Follow the clues to try and work out where the bunny has hidden the delicious chocolate treats. Afterwards sit down to a traditional three-course Sunday lunch with succulent roast, fish and vegetarian dishes.
There's lots to keep children entertained; with face painting, a magician and a visit from the Easter Bunny!
Mad as a March Hare at The White Lion Hotel, Aldeburgh

April's themed afternoon tea at The White Lion in Aldeburgh has been inspired by Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'. Served daily from 3pm - 5pm, the delicious treats on offer include sandwiches, mini quiches, scones, cakes, cheesecakes and eclairs.
Easter Sunday Lunch at The Crown, Woodbridge

From 4pm, kids eat free this Easter Sunday at The Crown, Woodbridge (with a paying adult, maximum two children per adult). The three-course menu will be served from 12pm until 8pm and if the weather is dry, grown-ups can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail on the terrace.

Meet some of Minsmere’s minibeasts on the bug hunting trail and help to make a bug hotel! Whilst there, children will love building dens in the Discovery Centre, or join one of the guided walks on offer to meet some of The Suffolk Coast's inhabitants.

Join RSPB Minsmere Guides as they dip their nets into the Minsmere pond, to search for what life is present, then discover more about Minsmere’s wildlife on a fun nature ramble - a fun day out that the whole family can enjoy!
The Great Felixstowe Museum Easter Egg Hunt
Wednesday 4th & Wednesday 7th April
Join the giant Landguard Bunny and search the museum for coloured eggs. Once you've found them, exchange it for a yummy treat before making a set of your own bunny ears.
There is a maximum of 30 children per session (2 sessions each day), so pre-booking is essential.
Wizard of Oz Easter Pantomime
Friday 6th April
Click your ruby heels together and join The Spa Pavilion Theatre over the rainbow for a magical adventure suitable for all ages!
Follow Dorothy and her new friends along the yellow brick road as they help the wonderful Wizard of Oz defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. A fast-paced, highly entertaining feast of family fun featuring pop songs, magic, puppets and, of course, all your favourite Oz characters.
