The Red House in Aldeburgh is opening its gardens on 8 & 9 April for a playful Easter adventure built around sound and storytelling. Families can follow an audio Easter egg hunt through the garden, searching for hidden sounds before collecting an Easter prize at the end. Along the way there will be storytelling sessions with interactive sounds and a craft activity where children can make their own Easter themed musical instrument. The gardens are a great place for children to roam about while discovering Benjamin Britten’s former home.

Easter Bunny Lunch at Seckford Hall
Seckford Hall is putting on a lively Easter Sunday lunch on 5 April, designed with families in mind. Alongside a two course meal there will be Easter crafts, face painting, a magician and an egg hunt to keep younger guests entertained between courses. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance with treats for all the children. Set within the Tudor surroundings of Seckford Hall just outside Woodbridge, this makes for a festive family gathering with plenty to enjoy.

Easter Storytime & Crafts at East Point Pavilion
At the East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft families can settle in for a relaxed Easter themed story session on 1 April, reading We’re Going on an Egg Hunt by Laura Hughes. After the story children can browse the bookshelves and spend time making their own decorative Easter cards to take home or give to family and friends. The airy pavilion sits right on Lowestoft’s seafront, sheltered from any adverse weather, and if it’s sunny you could always take a stroll along the seafront and a splash in the newly opened fountains afterwards.

Young bakers aged eight to twelve can spend an afternoon learning new skills at the Easter baking workshop at Ilias Kitchen at the Suffolk Food Hall on 2 April. This Easter, Snape Maltings hosts a musical storytelling performance for younger children aged three to seven on 29 March. The Duck With No Luck follows Dizzy the duck who oversleeps and misses the flight south before setting off on a rather chaotic journey to catch up with his friends. Along the way he encounters a mischievous pigeon, a helpful parrot and a hungry vulture, with live music helping to bring the adventure to life inside the grand surroundings of the Maltings.
