For a delicious Christmas Day feast, buy local and serve a '50-mile menu'. Start your day with smoked salmon from Pinneys, stop in at Suffolk Food Hall's butchery for your turkey and sausages, fill your basket with parsnips and sprouts at Friday Street Farm Shop and finish your meal with a Christmas pudding from the Food Hall at Snape Maltings. Don't forget Boxing Day too! With a round of Baron Bigod from Fen Farm Dairy, a glass of bubbly from Flint Vineyard and a bottle or two of beer from Adnams or St Peter's Brewery.

There's never been a more important time to support independent shops, and here on The Suffolk Coast we've got some crackers!
