Make a Splash!

Opening for the season on 25th May, Beccles Lido is a beautiful outdoor pool situated on the banks of the River Waveney in Beccles. It's is heated to a balmy 27°C and is open from 7am weekdays and 7.30pm at weekends until 6.30pm - so you can make the most of the long summer days.

There are 3 pools; the large 30 x 15 metre pool has a deep end of 3.5 metres and features a 1-metre springboard and a slide, a separate toddler pool and paddling pool. 

There's an adventure playground too, plus lots of paved and grassy areas where you can enjoy a picnic. The Splash Bar Cafe sells a range of hot and cold meals and snacks, plus cold drinks, teas, coffees and hot chocolates, and of course, ice creams!

Changing rooms, toilets and lockers are available, and there's also disabled access and facilities including hoist-assisted entry to the water if required (please telephone ahead for details or with any special requirements). 

Prices are £4.60 off-peak and £5.60 peak for adults, 5-18-year-olds £3.90, under 5s are free and a family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) £16.90 peak time and £15.90 off-peak.

The olympic-size pool at Deben Leisure Centre has recently re-opened after a £3.5m refurbishment. The pools timetable includes 'Just Swim' sessions which are open to all and fun splash sessions. Prices are 4.75 for adults, 3.30 for juniors, 3.30 for concessions and 12.80 for a family ticket.

If you fancy a bit of pampering after your swim, then make your way into the Health Suite where you will find a sauna and steam room costing £8.65 for the sauna and steam or £11.10 for sauna, steam and swim. 

A great pool for children, the 25-metre pool has 5 swim lanes, plus a shallow section with sloping floors and steps; ideal for little ones wanting to splash about. There's a fab tunnel slide too and the pool has regular large inflatable sessions, as well as classes including aquacise and swimming lessons.

Throughout the summer holidays, there are free sessions for young people (Waveney residents only aged between 0-15 years) taking place on Wednesdays from 2pm - 3pm and 3pm - 4pm, Fridays from 2pm - 3pm and 3pm - 4pm and Sundays from 1pm - 2pm and 2pm - 3pm.

An adults swim costs £5.10, children over 4 years are £3.60, under 4s are £1 and a family swim (2 adults and up to 3 children) is £15.45.

There's lots to do at Waterlane Leisure Centre in Lowestoft, the main pool is a 25m long 6-lane pool ranging from 1.0m to 3.2m in depth. There's also a variable depth learner pool which is ideal for young children and babies. The pool is also accessible and has a hoist and runs regular disability sessions alongside parent & toddler sessions, kids fun sessions with the giant inflatable.

There are weekly classes too including scuba diving, synchronised swimming and aquacise. After your swim, you can try out the brand new East Face Climbing Wall, spend an hour or two in the gym, or take the kids into the soft play area.

Take advantage of the free swim sessions for young people which are being held through the summer holidays on Tuesdays from 12pm - 1pm and 1pm  - 2pm, Thursdays from 12pm - 1pm and 1pm  - 2pm and Saturdays 12pm - 2pm and 1pm - 2pm (for Waveney residents aged between 0-15 years). 

Usual swim prices are £5.10 for adults, children over 4 are £3.60 and under 4s are £1. 

This fantastic family pool has a huge tunnel slide, a 6 lane main pool, and an 11.5 metre shallow pool for children and toddlers to enjoy. 

The leisure centre is also home to 'Funtasia', a soft play area aimed at children aged 6 years and under featuring ball pit, slide, biff bash bags, tunnels and a pirate cave. 

The biggest leisure facility in Ipswich, Crown Pools offers a range of indoor facilities including gym, sauna, competition pool and leisure pool with a wave machine and numerous children’s activities.

There are lots of fun water features including waterfall mushrooms, water squirters and shallow pools for young children to paddle in alongside a full size training pool.

An adults swim costs £4.30, concessions are £3.05 and juniors (3-17 years) are also £3.05, under 3s are free and a family ticket (two adults and 3 children) costs £13.50.
