This uber-stylish Swan Hotel in the heart of Southwold is a firm-favourite for festive afternoon tea. Savouries include brioche finger rolls filled with Adnams gin-cured smoked salmon, free range egg & truffle mayonnaise and roast beef with watercress; Turkey croquette with sage & onion espuma; Mini monkfish & chips with pea puree and honey& truffle goats cheese cone.

Sweet treats are buttermilk & cranberry scones with Devonshire clotted cream & homemade jam;  Mini cinnamon doughnuts with apple compote; Opera cake; Chestnut sponge with white chocolate & orange; Cinnamon macaron; Armagnac chocolate ganache and a mini ice cream cone.

Seckford Hall Afternoon Tea

Served in the stunning surrounds of Seckford Hall Hotel, you can sit in front of a roaring fire amongst twinkling fairy lights and enjoy Christmas treats including cakes and cranberry and orange scones with mulled wine jam.

The festive afternoon tea menu starts with sandwiches of smoked salmon and cream cheese, quince, Godminster cheese and sun-blushed tomato, turkey with cranberry and brie and devilled eggs & cress. To follow, enjoy classic scones and a festive special; plum pudding scones both served with jam and clotted cream.

Finishing with dark chocolate & clementine financier; Almond, Frangipane & Mincemeat Tart and Earl Grey tea posset with mulled wine Jelly.

You're guaranteed to get into the festive spirit at Retreat East! Book a table on 7 December and listen to Christmas carols performed by the talented Rock Choir in The Great Barn restaurant as you Indulge in a specially curated festive afternoon tea. 

The menu starts with savouries including pheasant sausage rolls; beef brisket on sourdough; crayfish & prawn brioche roll; Suffolk cheddar & pickle sourdough sandwiches and homemade cheese straws.

Snape Maltings

Snape Maltings Afternoon Tea

A treat for both adults and children, the Christmas Afternoon Tea in the River View Cafe & Bar at Snape Maltings is the perfect foodie treat to compliment Santa's arrival at Snape Maltings by barge and performances of The Snowman in the concert hall.

The children's menu includes strawberry milkshake; ham, cheddar and jam sandwiches; Sausage roll; Cheese scone; Chocolate brownie bites; Gingerbread and clementine jelly.

For adults, there's sandwiches filled with turkey, cranberry and stuffing; Smoked salmon and black pepper cream cheese and pigs in blanket sausage roll. Sweet treats to follow include a freshly baked scone with clotted cream and jam; Mince pie with brandy cream and a selection of mini desserts.

Set amongst 120 of woodland, High Lodge is serving up a delicious afternoon tea this festive season. 

Available from 9th - 15th December, you can tuck into a selection of finger sandwich filled with turkey, cranberry & stuffing, egg mayonnaise, vintage cheddar & chutney and smoked ham & mustard; accompanied by a pork & caramelised onion sausage and a mini cheese scone.

Sweet treats to follow include home made scone with strawberry jam & clotted cream, a mini chocolate brownie yule log, festive vanilla cupcake, frosted buttery shortbread biscuit, lemon & raspberry cheesecake shot and a sparkling French macaron.
