With fifty spacious touring and camping pitches spread between five small fields in the heart of the Shottisham Peninsula, Shottisham Campsite is part of a working smallholding with rare breed sheep, pigs, alpacas, goats and chickens - and you are welcome to help as the animals are fed and eggs collected each evening.
Facilities include shower blocks, which are powered by solar energy with plenty of hot water, disabled access/family toilet and basins, dish-washing areas, a septic emptying point, waste and recycling bins and a fridge-freezer.
The site sells their own home-reared, rare-breed sausages and bacon, as well as eggs, honey and jams, all from their smallholding. In addition, the on-site Blue Rabbit Cafe sells home-made breakfasts, brunches and cakes, with Pizzas available most Fridays too.
If you don't fancy pitching your own tent, you can hire the fully-equipped bell tent, which sleeps up to five in a king size bed, futon double bed and futon single bed.
